Prior to the novel he disappeared after his family was killed in the London Incident.
During the 2nd Cadet Exams, Lancaster disrupts Rachel as a hologram in a cave. Co-author made his attachment issues to his family worse and deepened his rage making him more likely to attack Rachel any time he wants.
Throughout the novel, Lancaster has sworn obedience multiple times to different characters such as Orden in order to eliminate the Royal Family and Rachel.
