Boss is known as the White seat or the leader of the Chameleon Troupe.
Appearance[]
She has been described to be incredibly beautiful. A four leaf clover tattoo on her right wrist, each of the leaf contains a portion of her true strength.
Personality[]
Despite her incredible power, she's terrible at taking care of herself when she can't force her way through it, thus making her subordinates Jain or more so Hajin do the job instead.
Although she does have that pathetic side to her, when things are deemed grave or important, she gets extremely serious and does not hesitate to kill.
After years of dependence of Kim Hajin her judgement became slack and due to this she tends to make mistakes on certain occasions like the time when her preparations were lax it led to Kim Hajin's death to Kurukuru.
Abilities[]
Void Sphere - a small black sphere which acts as a black hole, distorts anyone that is sucked in.
She can turn herself into a black puddle and move quickly across the floor.
She can create an isolation barrier.
Has the Siren's Necklace.
History[]
In her early life, Boss killed Kim Chundong's parents as part of a job while he was just a newborn, but rather than killing him as well, Boss ends up bringing him to an orphanage to be raised there.
At some point later, Bell betrays the Chameleon Troupe by “killing” the old boss. Boss then became the next leader. Since then, she has held an intense grudge against Bell and would stop at nothing to kill him.
Later Boss in a disguise meets Kim Hajin (who recognized her as the Boss of the Chameleon Troupe because of his ability to see through all disguises) and developed an interest for him. She later disguised herself again during the duels at Cube and sat next to Hajin who yet again see though her, she gives him a fake business card, introducing herself as 'Li XiaoPeng'.
Boss decides to pretend to be a student at Cube to investigate Hajin. She reveals to Hajin her real face when Hajin saw through her again then Boss asks for Hajin's number.
Boss finally decides to recruit Hajin when she encountered him at the dungeon as he was fighting a djinn. Boss presents herself with another fake identity, [Jeronimo Mercenary - Yi Saeyeon] a mercenary group second only to Vast Expanse while also being the Chameleon troupe's disguise. In Hajin's original novel, she had opted to recruit Shin Jonghak.
Boss gives the seat of black in the Chameleon Troupe to Kim Hajin, as they eventually get closer to each other. She likes it when Hajin combs her hair and hints for him to do it often, in a manner that Hajin describes as cute and childish. When she thought Kim Hajin died during KuruKuru's attack, she cried loudly realizing how much he meant to her.
Soon Boss finds out that Kim Hajin was the boy she brought to the orphanage although it was actually Kim Chundong. She feels deep guilt in her heart over the happenings of the 'Kwang-Oh incident', accidentally making Kim Hajin faint when he brought it up. Boss eventually reveals her real name, 'Yi Byul' to Hajin, and from then on their relationship progressed to another level.
Later she discovers her previous Boss and Father-like figure is alive derailing her emotionally because her life was currently fueled by revenge. This man warns her about Kim Haijin, hoping to sow discord between them. She remains conflicted between the two until near the end of the novel where while eavesdropping on their fight, she discovers that he (a) manipulated her and (b) that Kim Haijin loves her. Her response was to save Haijin and attack her old boss.
After the dust settles she loses her memories of Kim Haijin and begins doing good deeds to atone for her life's wrong-doings. Eventually she regains her memories of Kim Haijin and they begin a romantic relationship.
Chronology[]
In 2006, Yi Yeonjun, the former boss of the Chameleon Troupe, instructed Boss's parents to kill her which inevitably forced Boss to kill her own parents. After that, Yi Yeonjun adopted Boss and groomed her to become a powerful individual.
