Location[]
Cube was the name of a huge island located in the East Sea. The world’s greatest training institute boasting state-of-the-art magic, science, and engineering. This artificial island was twice the size of Yeouido with approx. 50,000 people residing there. The Cube Bus ran every 10 minutes around Cube. Portal was a device capable of quick travel between Cube and Seoul.
Academic Life[]
After 10 years of preparatory schooling at military schools (Most notably Agent Military Academy), students would be trained from ages 17 to 19 year olds. Statistically, less than half of Cube’s cadets graduate without repeating a semester. Students can only be held back up to two years before expulsion.
Ranks began at Novice (Year 1) with a total of 10 different classes in descending order: Veritas, Acceptance, Intelligence, Wisdom, Cultivation, Honor, Virtue, Friendship, Potential, and World. Starting from the second year, magicians who chose to become Heroes would come from the ‘National Magic University.'
There were classes five days a week and combat training three days a week. Classes taught magic power training and physical training, while combat training referred to battles, monster hunts, rescue missions, and more.
Training instructors were various Heroes brought on to teach a multitude of different skills. Notable instructors - Kim Soohyuk (Veritas Class instructor, Rank 9737), Kim Hyojun (Chief Magician, Unknown Rank), Park Hyun-ah (Training instructor, Unknown Rank).
At Cube, male and female students were only allowed to interact until 22:00. Cube students were also encouraged to join a multitude of clubs, most notable being Traveling Club and Academics Club.
Training Facilities[]
Cube contains multiple different training facilities for students to use throughout their academic years.
‘Novice Fitness Center.’ - This 1000 square meter facility was filled with magical devices and equipment for exercise and training. Contains a gravitation room which multiplied the gravity by a certain factor, thus increasing the pressure on one’s bloodstream. Training in this cylindrical room required one to operate magic power under heavy gravity, described as one of the most painful training methods but necessary for many archers.
Archery Range - A dome-shaped building consisting of 20 training rooms located east of Dorm 1. The center of this circular 130 square meter area contained a scaffolding for the shooter. Cadets would summoned targets (between 2-20) at different difficulty stages (Between 1-9. Higher levels meant faster targets and at stage 9, targets also attacked.)
'Morning Training' - A training ground that opened up from 5 A.M. to 8 A.M. when mana is considered it's most dense.
Cube contains a multitude of training fields, one dubbed Novice Field, implying separate and unique training fields for each year, along with artificial dungeons for hands on experience.
