The Novel's Extra Wiki

A major event which impacted the extra (that Hajin replaced) Kim Chundong's life. In the event, monsters attacked the Kwang-Oh region killing 87 ordinary civilians and 9 Heroes at the evacuation shelter. One of the heroes killed was Jin Seyeon's father, which was the reason the massacre took place. The government and the Hero Association said that it was the work of Djinns when in reality in was Kim Sukho (then President of South Korea), Chae Joochul (President of Daehyun conglomerate, also Nayun's grandfather), and Yoo Taeho (Yoo Yeonha’s grandfather).

History[]

As Kim Sukho feared Jin Seyeon's Father who learnt about corrupt nature of him, Sukho initiated the assassination with help for Chae Joochul, Yoo Jinwoong who would later cover up the incident as a djinn attack.

The Chameleon troupe, under Yi Yeonjun, killed the civilians and heroes under order from Kim Sukho.

Kim Chundong's mother died at the massacre while in her 9th month of pregnancy with him. As the baby was born after the massacre, Yi Yeonjun gave Boss the choice to either kill it or save it. This would result in Kim Chundong being brought to an orphanage becoming the sole survivor of the event.

Yoo Jinhyuk was asked to investigate the life of cadet Kim Hajin by his niece Yoo Yeonha. Jinhyuk spent a month looking into the past to uncover what happened to Hajin. He realizes that the massacre was the very event which got him kicked out of the Yoo clan years prior because he found out the truth of who was actually in charge of the monster attack.

At the end of the novel, Yoo Yeonha reveals at a party with many influential figures, the true reality and reason the Kwang-Oh massacre occurred, resulting in Kim Sukho and many of his associates getting arrested.
